this post is dedicated to St Joseph's Institution THE JOSEPHIAN PLEDGE We Josephians pledge ourselves at all times, that pledge. pledge of love, service, dedication, loyalty, integrity, shall remain in me forever. sigh. old memories flash back again. got that oldboys syndrome again. sighhhh.... miss them so much. anyway, im so glad i gave my all then. leave nothing but footprints, someone told me. give it all for you wont get to do it again. do it once, do it right. ohwell. gone were the days, melting under the morning sun, gone were the days-sleeping during RME in LT1. Gone were the days talking guitars with desmond. gone were the days talking about girls with des and romit. gone were the days sleeping in mrs chan's geog lesson. sigh. gone were the days hoping sng swee yee wont catch my copied maths stuff. gone were the days hoping mrs sng wont come to school when we stood there during assembly. gone were the days when we tried guessing which prayers they would say. gone were the days of the ugo student leaders briefing.. all that's left are fond memories. the glory days, the fun days, the shitass days, the sad days, the scared days. the rainy morning days.
in the spirit of our motto:
ORA ET LABORA.
To be loyal to God and to our nation,
to our family and to our school.
To follow the rules of good morality,
in our personal and social behaviour,
out of love for God and our neighbours.
To show respect to all who exercise authority:
parents, teachers and student leaders.
To give first attention to our studies
by seeking a balance in our academic work
and co-curricular activities.
To build an authentic Lasallian family,
here at St. Joseph's Institution,
in the spirit of faith, service and community.
SO HELP US GOD.
